Welcome to Montgomery National

## A championship course that happens to be a love letter to The Beatles.

**Montgomery National Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 public championship golf course in Montgomery, Minnesota, about 30 minutes south of Lakeville.** It is the world's first music-themed championship golf course, and it was the first design by golf architect Joel Goldstrand.

With more than 30 years in the golf business, at Lone Pine GC and then as Director of Golf at the Meadows at Mystic Lake, owner Greg McKush combined his passion for music and The Beatles to create a fun and unique golf experience. The layout has water hazards on eight holes, well-placed bunkers, wide tree-lined fairways and smooth, fast greens in a beautiful rural, rolling setting.

The music-themed course

## Three things you'll remember long after your last putt.

Owner Greg McKush turned Montgomery National into the world's first music-themed championship course, right down to the world's first guitar-shaped bunker. In 2022, Today's Golfer, the UK golf magazine, included Montgomery National among the world's weirdest golf courses.

All 18 holes

### Named for Beatles songs

Every hole on the Magical Mystery Tour routing is named for a Beatles song, from “With a Little Help From My Friends” on the 1st to “Yellow Submarine / The End” on the 18th. In 2021, Beatles “Help!” signs guided golfers through the renovation and re-routing.

### The yellow submarine

A yellow submarine sits in the pond on the 18th hole. It started out as a prop for the movie *Tora! Tora! Tora!*, and a member who is an artist painted it yellow.
